Biography:

After many years experience in customer service, retail and management, Summer Nelson began her career in the fitness industry in 1999.

Starting at LadyWorks Hawthorn, one of Melbourne’s most exclusive ladies fitness clubs, in a customer service role, she quickly developed her passion and skills as a membership consultant and moved into that area with ease.

She subsequently took a role with another of Melbourne’s fitness institutions: Winning Edge, The Fitness Club Chadstone.  As a Membership Manager and assisting the Club Manager, she was involved in developing their team and setting up a brand new club from scratch at Chadstone the Fashion Capital.

In 2001 she was invited to join the consulting team of Impact Training Corporation.  One of the worlds largest fitness sales training providers.  Through delivering strategic sales and communication training and coaching to clients all over Australia and New Zealand, Summer developed a strong understanding for what worked and didn’t in the fitness industry, for business and clients alike.  She worked with some of the industry’s most successful businesses including Zest SA & QLD, YMCA VIC, Jenkins Gym NZ, Les Mills Australia, Contours NZ and many more, helping them not just grow their businesses, but develop their staff and support their clients as well.  In this capacity she was invited to present at Network on the Gold Coast in 2001 and FILEX in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2014 our industry’s largest annual events, to speak on best practise communciation, customer focused sales, and fitness business skills.

Since it’s conception in 2001, Summer has been involved in every aspect of developing My Trainer Corporation.  Selecting & training staff, supporting clients, marketing, sales, administration, and finally it’s public launch in May 2004.  Through Summer’s leadership, My Trainer has grown to be one of the most stable and successful mobile wellness businesses in Australia today.

Summer supports our clients to implement lasting wellness through strategic lifestyle coaching, applying 19 years of experience in the field.  Summer also leads our corporate wellness program, where she coaches businesses in implementing successful programs for healthy workplace outcomes.

Summer is a mum of 3 amazing firecrackers, and contributes regularly to her local community, including sporting teams, schools and events.
